I'm a therapist, clinical leader, and arts practitioner who brings 10+ years of experience and deep cultural understanding to support your healing and growth.
With training from Columbia University, leadership roles at major mental health organizations, and lived experience as an Asian immigrant woman, I create a warm, integrative space where you can become who you're truly meant to be.

Becoming a therapist wasn't a calculated career decision for me—it was intuitive, almost inevitable.
When I was trying out different fields in college, I discovered that connecting with people, holding space for their struggles, and witnessing their resilience. This was where I came alive. This was where I belonged.
I came to the US all by myself in high school. That experience taught me about navigating unfamiliar cultures, finding belonging when you feel like an outsider, and maintaining resilience under pressure. These aren't just concepts I learned in textbooks, they're chapters of my own story.
That's why I deeply understand the challenges of cross-cultural adaptation, intergenerational conflict, and searching for identity between worlds. When you sit with me, I don't just understand intellectually. I've lived it.

I'm not only a clinician—I'm also a leader, educator, and community advocate:
As Director of New York Mandarin Playback Theatre for many years, I explore how storytelling and creative expression facilitate healing in community spaces.
I create content, hold workshops and share resources on mental health, mindfulness, and cultural well-being to make support accessible beyond the therapy room.
I build and facilitate online communities that connect people across borders, organize meaningful gatherings, and empower individuals through collective support.
These roles taught me to see mental health not just at the individual level, but systemically. Personal struggles are often connected to larger systems— racism, sexism, ableism, immigration policies, economic pressures and so on.
In our work together, I'll help you understand and navigate these impacts while acknowledging: sometimes the problem isn't you; it's the system.

I believe in therapy so deeply that I've sought it for myself.
I've sat in the client's chair. I've experienced therapy that was truly transformative—where I felt seen, understood, and supported in ways that changed my life. I've also experienced therapy that wasn't the right fit, where something felt off even though I couldn't quite name it.
These experiences taught me several things:
So when you reach out, I see your bravery. And I'm honored you're considering trusting me with your story.
I'm passionate about supervising and mentoring therapists, especially those from minority backgrounds, who had to walk the extra miles to get where they are now.
With years of clinical supervision experience, I've supported dozens of therapists in their professional development. I'm particularly committed to helping minority therapists thrive in this field—because our communities desperately need us, and because I understand the unique challenges we face in predominantly white and euro-centric clinical spaces.
If you're a therapist seeking supervision, I'd be honored to support your journey.
There will be setbacks, plateaus, and unexpected turns. That's not failure— that's the nature of growth. We honor the messy, non-linear reality of transformation.
You may feel broken, but you're not. You're a person who's been through difficult things. There's a profound difference. Our work isn't about "fixing" you—it's about removing the barriers to your natural capacity for healing.
There's no single "right way" to heal. Talk therapy, creative expression, somatic-based work, spiritual practices—all can be healing. We integrate multiple approaches to find what works for you.
Whether you're seeking short-term support during a crisis or longer-term growth and transformation, I'm here to meet you exactly where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

If you feel ready to begin your healing journey, I invite you to reach out for a free initial consultation. This conversation gives us both an opportunity to connect, discuss your needs, and determine if we're a good fit.
Taking this step shows courage and self-compassion. I'm honored you're considering working with me.
Mental health is a vital, fundamental part of your overall well-being. Seeking support isn't a sign of weakness—it's an act of profound courage and self-respect.
