You Don't Have to Carry This Alone

Whether you're struggling with anxiety that won't quiet, healing from trauma that still haunts you, navigating relationships that hurt more than they help, or simply feeling stuck and searching for meaning—you deserve support.

At Leap Well, individual therapy is a collaborative journey where we work together to understand what's happening, process what you've been through, and discover new possibilities for how you want to live. This is your space to be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

Trauma & PTSD

You Might Experience

  • Intrusive memories or flashbacks of traumatic events
  • Feeling stuck in the past, unable to move forward
  • Hypervigilance, always on edge, scanning for danger
  • Emotional numbness or feeling disconnected from yourself
  • Avoiding anything that reminds you of what happened
  • Nightmares and sleep disturbances

Trauma changes how your brain and body respond to the world. My approach is trauma-informed and body-centered, with specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

How I Help

First, we establish safety—both in our relationship and in your daily life. Then, we work at your pace to process traumatic memories using EMDR and other approaches that activate your brain's natural healing capacity.

I don't magically lead you out of trauma—I help you activate the healing capacity you already have.

01

Fewer intrusive memories and flashbacks

02

Feeling more present and grounded in your body

03

Rewriting the story you tell yourself about what happened

04

Reconnecting with people who matter to you

05

Rediscovering joy, safety, and possibility

Anxiety, Depression & Emotional Overwhelm

Constant worry that won't turn off. Panic attacks with racing heart and tight chest. Feeling sad, empty, or numb most of the time. Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy. Perfectionism that's exhausting you. Shame spirals and harsh self-criticism.

We'll work on two levels: understanding your emotions and developing tools to manage them. Your emotions aren't the enemy—they're messengers. We'll build your emotion regulation toolkit using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.

Understanding Your Emotions

Explore what your feelings are trying to tell you and why they arise

Building Your Toolkit

Develop practical, evidence-based strategies to manage difficult emotions

Self-Compassion

Replace harsh self-judgment with kindness and understanding

Feeling genuinely happy and finding joy again. Having tools to manage anxiety when it arises. More energy and motivation. Quieter inner critic, kinder self-talk. Confidence that you can handle difficult emotions.

Breaking Through What's Holding You Back

Procrastination & Feeling Stuck

Knowing what you need to do but unable to start. Constant cycle of avoidance, guilt, and self-criticism. Dreams and goals that feel impossibly far away. Feeling like you're wasting your potential.

Procrastination isn't about laziness—it's usually about fear, overwhelm, perfectionism, or disconnection from what truly matters to you.

We'll identify what's really blocking you, break overwhelming goals into manageable steps, and rebuild momentum one small action at a time.

Identify Blocks

Understand the real fears beneath avoidance

Break It Down

Create manageable, achievable steps

Build Momentum

Take action and reconnect with motivation

Relationship Issues & Patterns

Painful breakup or feeling trapped in an unhappy relationship. Pattern of attracting unavailable or hurtful partners. Difficulty setting boundaries—saying yes when you mean no. Family relationships that drain or hurt you. Repeating the same conflicts over and over.

Explore the Roots

Understand where your relationship patterns began—often in your family of origin—and how they show up today

Identify What You Can Change

Distinguish between what's within your power and what isn't, focusing energy where it matters

Develop Skills

Build capacity for healthy communication, boundary-setting, and authentic connection

Practice Safely

Our therapeutic relationship becomes a space to try new ways of relating before taking them into your life

What changes might look like: Clearer sense of your needs and boundaries. Ability to communicate effectively, even in conflict. Breaking free from toxic relationship patterns. Balance between caring for yourself and others.

Identity, Culture & Belonging

Cultural Identity & Immigration

Feeling caught between cultures, fully belonging to neither. Painful intergenerational conflicts with family. Isolation in your adopted country. Grief over leaving your homeland. As someone who came to the U.S. alone in high school, I understand these struggles intimately.

LGBTQ+ Identity & Experiences

Coming out process and related stress. Family rejection or conditional acceptance. Internalized homophobia or transphobia. Dating and relationship challenges. Leap Well is a fully LGBTQ+ affirmative space where your identity is celebrated and honored.

We'll explore your unique identity journey, process losses and gains, and help you integrate different parts of yourself rather than choosing between them. What changes might look like: More integrated sense of identity. Greater self-acceptance and pride. Less guilt, more peace. Freedom to be fully yourself.
